Scientific Glassblower Cédric Ginart - 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm After studying biochemistry, Cédric Ginart followed a training in scientific glassblowing in Paris (France). He graduated in 1995 and migrated to Quebec one year later. Since then, he has collaborated with scientists, artists, designers and manufacturers on experimental projects, producing unique pieces and prototypes. While being a recognized artist in Canada and the United States, he currently works at the Université de Montréal as a scientific glassblower and teaches the blowtorch technique. His works are part of the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery (ON) and the Red Deer College (AB) collections.
Potters Catherine Auriol & Marko Savard - 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Marko Savard and Catherine Auriol both graduated from the Centre de céramique Bonsecours in 1996, in Montreal. They opened the Gaïa workshop and boutique in 1999, where they teach, make and sell their works. Since then, they both received numerous prizes and the Atelier-Boutique Gaïa became an establishment in the field of ceramics for production, distribution and training.
Weaver and fabric designer Fritzroy Smith - 13 h à 18 h Artist and weaver, Fritzroy Smith was specialized in printmaking before he found a passion for textile, working in Paris for a textile designer in the fashion industry. Fritzroy uses fabrics and colours to communicate his ideas, keeping in mind the social impact that clothing and tissues have. He breathes into each of his pieces a life of suffering, identity and pleasure.

Fine leather goods maker Gisèle Désilets - 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm Born to a family of artisans, Gisèle Désilets has developed an early interest for art, especially for design and fine leather. She is inspired by nature, and especially the horse. Over 25 years of leather crafting and 10 000 drawings later, her art is still evolving. Marble Turner Francis Coupal - 6:00 pm to 10:00 Trained at Espace Verre, in Montreal, Francis Coupal establishes in 1999, in the city of Mercier (Montérégie), the only manufacture solely dedicated to marble fabrication in Canada. As a marble maker, he takes part in major craft exhibitions in the province. In 2006, he received the Coup de cœur du jury award (jury’s choice award) from Roussillon county’s cultural fund as well as the Soutien à la carrière prize (career development support) in 2008.franciscoupal.wordpress.com
Stone Cutter Claude Des Rosiers - 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm “I travelled across the Americas during ten years, acquiring knowledge and techniques. I use a traditional direct cutting technique, which consists of refining the stone through gradual subtraction.
